Celebration Of Life
Mrs Maudline Adaurenma Jiji
In the hearts of those who loved you, you will always be
Mum in our Eyes
Mum, moomii, mother, thank you for being our mum – all the 7 of us Emeka, Ndubueze, Joy (Mother), Ikem, Uto (RIP), Emma & Rev Engr. Innocent Jiji including your loving hubby late Venerable James Ekeke Jiji (JP).
Thank you for waiting patiently believing that when the Lord calls, that will be the time and so was it on that day, July 20, 2024. It was a few hours after we last spoke that we heard you just stopped breathing. It was heart-breaking but we were consoled by our memories of you and by God’s unfailing promises that He will continue to keep us in perfect peace till we meet again on that glorious morning.
Thank you for making it all the way from home to the Teaching Hospital at Aba. Everyone knows that one cannot receive standard treatment there but i you were taken there first for a reason, and we understood it later, when you had gone – that you needed to set someone free from hospital debt. We are so blessed that we had the opportunity to clear that lady’s hospital bills and set her free; leaving us a legacy of what you truly represent. You were an epitome of love, care, discipline, focus and sincere admonition. You taught all your children how to cook, sew and do chores irrespective of our gender. You taught us how to fight by trusting God and believing that no one can hurt us if God is for us. You were the best women leader in our community and received several awards. The village women looked up to you for advice, support and motherly embrace. I recall how you make us bring all our used clothes just to have them distributed to those in need.
Nwanyi Nganga, I remember your stand in making sure that nobody shortchanges you. You were an outspoken and courageous woman. Your excitement in furthering your education even at an advanced age showed your tenacity to fight for what you believed in. You taught us that anyone can achieve anything provided one’s mind is set on it while trusting God, our ultimate source.
Your Ekpere na Abu (Hymn book & BCP) and Bible was always beside you even when you were unwell. We saw you study your Bible. Although, we often argued about some interpretations, it was those engagements that gave us the firm foundation in Christ that we have today and the ability to challenge any heretical teaching of our time.
To us your children, you made us believe that while you are our biological mother, you were also a mother to those of the household of God and you did nurture several of them who at one time or the other lived under your roof; Ven Dr Ugo Okoroafor, Dr Okey Nna, Mr Chidi Akaya and family and others too numerous to mention
Words will never be enough Mummy, deep down in our hearts, we feel your absence and also feel your presence through Jesus, whom the whole earth adores.
Je nke oma ( go well), good bye Mummy, sleep well Nwanyi nganga, Adieu Adaurenma. May God grant you eternal rest
“With hearts full of sorrow and gratitude, we gather to honor the life of a beloved soul who touched us all. Their memory will forever be a beacon of love and kindness, guiding us through the days ahead.”
